Majel Barrett Roddenberry, wife of Gene Roddenberry, passed away yesterday. The news is proliferating around the ‘net.
Majel Barrett was best known for her role as Nurse Chapel on the original Star Trek series, and later as Lwaxana Troi, beginning with The Next Generation. She is the only actor to have a role in every incarnation of Star Trek, including voice work for the upcoming 11th Star Trek movie.
She is flying with the Great Bird of the Galaxy now.
